Living at beautiful Broadkill Beach has deeply inspired
my artwork and creativity. Ever since moving to the
Delaware Beaches, I have been captivated by the endless
skies, the ever-changing colors and movement of the water,
and the peaceful beauty that surrounds us each day.
Nature is everywhere here—from the marshlands and wildlife
refuges to the shorebirds, horseshoe crabs, foxes, and
animals that make this coastal area so unique.
These natural surroundings continually inspire me to paint
and create artwork that reflects the beauty, peace, and
wonder of beach life.
Many people visit the Delaware Beaches because they feel a
sense of relaxation, joy, and renewal here. Through my
artwork, I hope to capture those special feelings and
memories that make this area so meaningful to so many
people.
Coastal Delaware is always changing. A quiet marsh may
glow with gold and coral at sunset, while the same
landscape becomes cool, peaceful, and nearly silver in
winter.
The colors reflected across the bay, rivers, wetlands, and
ocean provide endless inspiration. Each season offers
something new to observe and paint.
Kelly’s artwork celebrates recognizable places as well as
the emotional experience of being near the water—the quiet,
the movement, the light, and the feeling of renewal.

My paintings begin with places and moments that have made
me pause—a colorful sky reflected on still water, waves
glowing in early morning light, marsh grass moving in the
breeze, or wildlife quietly appearing near the shore.
I am drawn to the emotional quality of these scenes. I want
the viewer to remember how it feels to sit beside the bay,
walk along the beach, watch the sunset, or discover
something beautiful in nature.
My hope is that each painting offers more than a picture of
a place. I hope it brings a feeling of peace, gratitude,
renewal, and connection to the natural world.
